Chortle, Chortle, Chortle

Friday-

This morning Pops did the devo and rocked it as usual. We went to the city center and leaflet. It was so marvelous I think I found my calling! I could evangelize till the day I died:) Scottish people are so nice even when I was totally annoying them they still said thank you. We went to Two nursing homes and sang four different times for some amazing Scottish people. On the last performance we were running late so we only sang songs from our platinum record:) It was a ball! The first Seminar was a total success we had four kids and the lesson was so good. Miss Judy did a wonderful job! Holly and Ellie came back to the flats, played American football and ate tons of sweeties.

Saturday-
The next morning we went to the city center and shopped at Primark the most amazing store in the whole world!! Jennie came with us and we leaflet for a few more hours and ate lunch at Greg's. The pastries are out of this world! There was a afternoon seminar, Nancy taught the kids, she was so prepared the kids learned so much. We went back to the flats and had Tea (dinner). then headed back to the gym for the night seminar. Tera did the lesson and killed it:) Rachel, Bailey, Noah and I taught them camp songs and they taught us some very interesting ones! It was like so late but the ladies wanted to see our buys from the day so we did a show for them and they are the funniest things I have ever seen!! Bailey hosted a toast party for a billion people who came in our kitchen and me and Rachel ended up making it all:)

We are having so much fun!

I Love you Mama and Daddy Miss you loads and loads!!!

Its so Bonnie

Thursday-
We went on the restoration and reformation tour with Alastair the pastor of the church here. It was so cool seeing the history of the church through Scottish history and how much we take our Religious Freedom for granted. Jennifer the sweetest girl from the church brought her nieces Holly and Ellie along, they are so adorable!! We had all these discussions about the differences between America and Scotland. There are so many things it is hilarious. They could not believe we called it a jacket because to them it is a jumper:) After the tour we went shopping in the city center with Trish and Noah. I bought a crazy hat and adorable gloves. We went to lunch at Little Johns and had haggis (I did try it but a little yucky). Bailey asked for ranch and they didn't know what it was, we were cracking up. The girls came to church and the ladies made dinner then we had a mini lesson with the kids and played Frisbee doge ball. Rachel and Bailey are making this trip so much fun we are all gonna have killer abs from laughing so much:) Joseph did the evening devo it was so good! He talked about a man in Australia who's house is next to the cliff where most of Australia's suicides happen. He said it was his calling to help people out of their despair. He took the location of his house and used it to God's glory.

Out On Holiday

Wow!!!!! Scotland is amazing!

Sorry it has taken us so long to work out the internet! I will never take it for granted again:)

So we left on Tuesday and flew from Nashville to Philadelphia to Glasgow Scotland! The plane ride was very exciting, Bailey and I video logged the entire trip. I am sure everyone hated us for our extream loudness:) The moment we landed this little boy stood up and screamed "Hey we are in Scotland" I love how kids can say what everybody else is thinking. We had such a wonderful drive to our flats, everything here is gorgeous even the weeds:) When we got back to the flats we had fish and chips which yes Johnny I did try. I was the greasiest thing I have ever eaten in my life! But not too terrible. The crisps (chips) here are crazy flavored! There is Bacon prawn, roast chicken, and steak and onion. It is the weirdest thing ever! I was so tired but it was an amazing day!!

There roofs are slate here and the first thing i thought of was my dad and all his roof talk:) however they never ruin so he would be out of a job. We sang make me a servant as a team before we went to bed and I was missing my mama loads and loads and the Scots say.

Well I have to go to dinner so I will tell all about the rest of the days tonight when we get back!

Love you Mama and Daddy and my boys!!!

Do the right thing. Bin your Rubbish! (this was the nice little note on our fish and chips)

We are off to the first of the seminars so I just had a quick sec to let everyone know I am safe:) (mainly my mother since we have had a terrible time with communication) Thanks for all the prayers and keep them up for tonight! I will let you all know how it goes!

Have a Lovely Evening!

Cheers,
Jessie

The Beginning

Well... I am not a writer and don't really have too many witty things to say so bear with me if you are reading along on this blogging adventure. Since I am going to be a missionary I thought I should start cataloging my adventures. The Journal idea was right out since my words run much to fast for my hand to keep up, so typing is much better. If you have talked to me at all in the last few months your bound to know that I am going to Scotland! Which might be the most Amazing thing that I have ever had the chance to do!!

Right now I am sitting in my Grandpas office at North Boulevard Church in Murfreesboro Tn. Of course I leave everything to the last minute. Typing as fast as I can to get all of my lessons done and all the pictures printed off for the children's service I am planing. I make it sound stressful but this is what i love!! We leave tomorrow we need to arrive at the airport at 11:55am. So far all I have forgotten at home is the wonderful periwinkle blue wind up flashlight my mom bought for my trip.... depression! It will just have to live on without me in Mn:)

Other then that, my send off was great! I already miss my parents and I haven't even left yet (which I completely anticipated). Daniel was asleep when I left for Tn at 5 Sunday morning so I just hugged him and Johnny is here with me until I leave. Tegan, my little sweetheart who I nanny, was very concerned when her parents were telling me to be careful so as I walked out the door she called "Jessie don't get any big scrapes" It totally made my day that she would care:)

God is going to do amazing things with the lives of the people we are going to meet! I am praying the Holy Spirit is already cultivating the hearts of the Scots for our team to go and plant seeds! The Battle belongs to the Lord and we are preparing with the armor of God!!

If you are reading this I hope you will enjoy!!
Have a Wonderful rest of the day!!

God's Blessings-
Jessie:)
